Some people mistakenly consider tithe as a donation to the church; however, it must never be regarded simply as secular material. We should understand that tithe is an important law of truth which profoundly impacts our salvation.
Actually, everything we use on earth for our lives is borrowed from God. The meaning of lifting up our tithe to God is much more than simply offering physical material. When we participate in the law of tithe, our hearts return to God, and we acknowledge that He rules over the heavens, the earth, and all things.
We can trace the origin of tithe back to Abraham.
This history serves as a model showing that believers who follow Christ—who appeared in the form of Melchizedek to bless humankind with the bread and wine of the new covenant—are the spiritual descendants of Abraham and should offer a full tithe to God
God commanded us to offer our tithes, which belong to God. The law of tithing contains God’s love to bless those who obey it.
Through the words of truth—“A man reaps what he sows,” we can understand that tithe guarantees blessings for all who put this regulation into practice. Tithing is also a way for those who have turned away from God to return to Him. On the contrary, those who ignore the law of tithe commit the sin of robbing God and cannot help but depart from God’s loving arms.
God has given the law of tithe to grant the eternal inheritance of the glorious kingdom to those who are living a life of faith, only looking forward to Heaven. Realizing this, let us give our hearts to God through our full tithes.

When we participate in the law of tithe, our hearts return to God, and we acknowledge that He rules over the heavens, the earth, and all things.
We can trace the origin of tithe back to Abraham.
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.
Ge 14:18–20

God commanded us to offer our tithes, which belong to God. The law of tithing contains God’s love to bless those who obey it.
“Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD Almighty. “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’ Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ In tithes and offerings. . . . Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,” says the LORD Almighty. “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the LORD Almighty.
Mal 3:7–12

Tithing is also a way for those who have turned away from God to return to Him. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Mt 6:19–21
Now I am ready to visit you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you. After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.
2 Co 12:14
God has given the law of tithe to grant the eternal inheritance of the glorious kingdom to those who are living a life of faith, only looking forward to Heaven. Realizing this, let us give our hearts to God through our full tithes.

The tithe is not merely a secular material offering. It is a safeguard for salvation that God has established so that our hearts may be directed toward the Kingdom of Heaven. We should keep the tithe with faith in God’s promise that He will pour out abundant heavenly blessings through it.
What is the true tithe? All churches are receiving tithes. Then are the tithes given to all churches truly the proper tithe? Even when we look at the very first tithe in the Bible, the proper tithe is only the tithe that is given to Melchizedek. This Melchizedek, as a prophetic figure, in reality represents Jesus who gives us eternal life through the Passover. Therefore, the tithe given to the church that keeps the Passover is the proper tithe, the tithe that is offered to God.
