Is There Jesus’ Wife in the Bible?

The mystery novel, “The Da Vinci Code,” authored by American writer Dan Brown and published in 2003, stirred controversy by proposing the narrative that Mary Magdalene served as the wife of Jesus. This is entirely a fictional imagination; two thousand years ago, there is no record in the Bible indicating that Jesus had an actual wife. The mention of Jesus’s wife can be found in the prophecies of the book of Revelation.

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear. (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) Then the angel said to me, ”Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”Rev 19: 7–9

The prophecy speaks of the future event of the wedding banquet of the Lamb, where the bride, alongside the Lamb who is the bridegroom, makes her appearance. In the Bible, the term “Lamb” carries various meanings: a young sheep, God’s holy people, or Jesus (Ex 12:21; Jn 21:15; 1:29). Among these three meanings, the Lamb in the heavenly wedding banquet refers to Jesus; since He has His wife, He is Second Coming Jesus. In that case, who is the wife of Second Coming Jesus, showing up together with Him? In order to be blessed and invited to the wedding banquet of the Lamb, it is imperative to accurately discern not only the bridegroom, who is Second Coming Jesus, but also the bride, namely, the wife of Jesus.

The Savior is Heavenly Mother, the Bride of the Lamb, who is Second Coming Jesus. The prophecy of the heavenly wedding banquet reveals that both the Bridegroom and the Bride exist. We should carefully study the Bible to understand the evidence concerning them.
