The Passover: God’s Promise to Escape Disasters
We live in a world filled with unpredictable crises and ongoing disasters. In times of uncertainty, people naturally look for a true place of safety and salvation.
Thousands of years ago, God established a unique promise in the Scriptures to protect His people from disasters. That promise is the Passover.
1. What is the Passover?
The word Passover comes from the Hebrew concept meaning "disasters pass over."
In the Old Testament, when the final plague struck Egypt—claiming the life of every firstborn—God commanded His people to put the blood of the Passover lamb on their doorposts. Those who kept the Passover according to God's word were completely protected, and the plague passed over their homes.
2. The New Covenant Passover Given to Us Today
This history serves as a shadow and a prophecy for us today.
Jesus Himself kept the Passover with His disciples on the night before He was crucified on the cross.
"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you... In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.'" (Luke 22:19–20)
Through the bread and wine of the Passover, Jesus granted us His flesh and blood, promising eternal life and the seal of salvation that spares us from disaster.
3. The Passover: An Ark of Salvation
No human power or earthly security system can guarantee the ultimate safety of our souls. However, God’s covenant never changes.
The Passover is not just a religious ritual; it is a divine sign marking us as God's children and the most certain promise to escape disasters.
Today, God is still calling all mankind to the way of salvation through the Passover. By keeping the New Covenant Passover, may you find true protection and receive the blessing of eternal life amidst all trials and disasters.

Ever feel like the world is just too unpredictable lately? 🌍 Between constant crises and uncertainty, it’s natural to wonder where true safety really lies.
I recently came across this deep dive into the biblical concept of the Passover and it really put things into perspective. It’s not just an ancient story—it’s a promise of protection that still holds meaning today. If you've been looking for peace of mind, this is definitely worth a watch.
The passover of the old covenant in the time of Moses was the way that the Israelites could be freed from slavery. God commanded it to give them freedom and in the end, Canaan. In the same way, Jesus Christ, our God in the flesh, came down to the earth and commanded the passover of the new covenant by which we can be freed from the spiritual slavery(John 8:32-34 and Hebrews 2:14-15). How did Jesus Christ free us from the slavery? People are in the slavery of sins and death but Jesus Christ gave us eternal life through the passover(John 6:53-54 and Matthews 26:19-28). By receiving eternal life we can be freed from the slavery of death and head towards the kingdom of heaven, the spiritual Canaan, where there is no death. Only in the World Mission Society Church of God the passover of the new covenant is being observed!
