Why Did God Say “Let Us Make Mankind”? | Discovering God Elohim
When we look at the Bible, we often call God our Father. But could there be another image of God that we have not yet fully understood? The Bible gently opens our eyes to a beautiful truth: God has revealed Himself as God Elohim—God the Father and God the Mother.
1. God Elohim Is Revealed as “Us”
In Genesis 1:26-27, God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness,” and created both male and female in God’s image. If both male and female were created in God’s image, God’s image cannot be limited to only one form. Genesis 11:7 and Isaiah 6:8 also say, “Let us go down” and “Who will go for us?” These repeated words, “us” and “our,” point us toward **God Elohim—God the Father and God the Mother.
2. The New Covenant Reveals God Elohim
Jeremiah 31:31-34 speaks of the New Covenant, through which God promises, “I will be their God, and they will be my people.” The Hebrew word used for “God” is Elohim, a plural form. The New Covenant is not merely a set of teachings—it is a precious promise that helps us truly know our God and recognize God the Father and God the Mother as the source of our spiritual life.
3. The Spirit and the Bride Give the Water of Life
Finally, Revelation 22:17 gives us a loving invitation: “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’” They invite thirsty souls to receive the water of life. The Bible reveals that, in the last days, the Spirit and the Bride come to give this precious gift. Through this prophecy, we can recognize God the Father and God the Mother, who give us the water of life and lead us to eternal life.
The message of the Bible is not simply about knowing that God exists. It is about knowing who our God is and coming into His loving embrace. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals God as Elohim, the Father and the Mother. And in the last days, the Spirit and the Bride call us, “Come!” May we open our hearts, recognize God Elohim, and receive the water of life with gratitude and faith.

Through the words recorded throughout the Bible, we come to understand that there is not only God the Father, but also God the Mother. In the last days, the Spirit and the Bride call us to “come” and receive the water of life. I am deeply thankful for the grace that has guided us to respond to this calling and welcome Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. ❤️
The creation of male and female in Genesis 1 clearly reveals that God exists not only as God the Father, but also as God the Mother. The plural Hebrew word 'Elohim' and the promise of the New Covenant consistently testify that God the Father and God the Mother are the true source of spiritual life. In this last age of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit and the Bride invite all thirsty souls to receive the blessing of the water of life. I am truly grateful to know the profound truth of God Elohim testified from Genesis to Revelation and to walk the path of salvation. Through this post, I hope more people can face the clear truth of the Bible without prejudice and welcome our true Saviors, Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother.
2,000 years ago, when Jesus came to this earth as the Savior, the religious leaders of that time who claimed to believe in God failed to accept Jesus as the Savior. This was because they had a preconceived notion that God was an almighty and fearsome being who could never come in human form.
It is the same today. Many people believe that only God the Father exists. When they are told that God the Mother exists, they immediately criticize and reject it, asking, “Where is God the Mother?” Their preconceived notions prevent them from believing in God the Mother, the Savior of this age. It is truly heartbreaking.
