When it comes to the Law, many people misunderstand that it only applies to the Israelites in Old Testament times. They say that there are no more laws to be observed in New Testament times when God’s unconditional grace is given to all through Jesus‘ sacrifice on the cross. However, it is different than what the Bible teaches.
There are two kinds of laws in the Bible: One is the law of Moses, which was given by God through Moses, and the other is the law of Christ—the law of the new covenant—which was established by Jesus. The law of Christ is the law made perfect by Jesus: In the New Testament times, Jesus has fulfilled and renewed the Old Testament law.
The law of Moses was deeply related to physical blessings for the Israelites, and it was valid until the law of the new covenant—which guarantees the salvation of souls—appeared (Gal 3:24-25). Apostle Paul realized this fact, so he did not follow the law of Moses any longer, and instead he followed the law of Christ.
Here, those not having the law refer to the Jews who follow the law of Moses. So, when Paul said that he was not under the law, he meant that he did not keep the law of Moses. On the contrary, when he said that he was under the law of Christ, he meant that he kept the law of Christ.
As stated above, the law surely exists in the New Testament, too. If the Bible says that the law is abolished, it does not mean that all the laws have disappeared, but that the Old Testament law has been abolished. The law of Christ, as the fulfillment of the law of Moses, is the law that we must keep in this age.
In Old Testament times, the Israelites kept the Sabbath by sacrificing lambs according to the law of Moses, and in the New Testament times its regulation has been changed; we keep the Sabbath by worshiping God in spirit and in truth. As for the Passover, we celebrate it with bread and wine symbolizing the precious body and blood of Jesus who is the reality of the Passover lamb, instead of sacrificing lambs. Thus, the regulations for keeping the Sabbath and the Passover have been changed; the Sabbath and the Passover themselves have never disappeared. So the Bible testifies that God’s people, who are to stand against Satan the devil in the last days, obey God’s commandments.
God’s commandments are Christ’s law, which Jesus has changed and completed. Those who keep this law of Christ are the true people of God, who will be saved in the last days.

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”
Mt 5:17

To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law.
1 Co 9:20-21
Here, those not having the law refer to the Jews who follow the law of Moses. So, when Paul said that he was not under the law, he meant that he did not keep the law of Moses. On the contrary, when he said that he was under the law of Christ, he meant that he kept the law of Christ.

For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law.
Heb 7:12
In Old Testament times, the Israelites kept the Sabbath by sacrificing lambs according to the law of Moses, and in the New Testament times its regulation has been changed; we keep the Sabbath by worshiping God in spirit and in truth. As for the Passover, we celebrate it with bread and wine symbolizing the precious body and blood of Jesus who is the reality of the Passover lamb, instead of sacrificing lambs. Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring—those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Rev 12:17
This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.
Rev 14:12
God’s commandments are Christ’s law, which Jesus has changed and completed. Those who keep this law of Christ are the true people of God, who will be saved in the last days.

Today, many churches do not keep the Sabbath and the Passover, which are Christ’s commandments. They insist that these commandments no longer need to be kept because the law was abolished.
Even though Jesus Himself kept these commandments and taught His disciples to keep them, they deliberately turn away from them. Instead, they keep man-made traditions such as Sunday worship and Christmas.
How strange this is! They insist that God’s law has been abolished and refuse to keep it, yet they keep the laws and traditions made by men instead. If they had even a little spiritual discernment, how could they do such a thing?
It reminds me of the words recorded in Isaiah:
Isaiah 29:13–14 (NIV)
“The Lord says:
‘These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
is based on merely human rules they have been taught.
Therefore once more I will astound these people
with wonder upon wonder;
the wisdom of the wise will perish,
the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.’”
What is important is not simply whether we should keep the law or not, but rather, “Which law are we to keep in the age in which we live?” This is something we should examine through the Bible.
Therefore, even today, rather than simply thinking, “The law is no longer necessary because Jesus came,” we should examine through the Bible, “What is the law of the New Covenant that Jesus completed and established?”
In particular, when we examine how the New Covenant regulations, including the Sabbath and the Passover, relate to the Mosaic Law of the Old Testament, and how Jesus and the apostles kept them, this matter becomes much clearer.
The Bible clearly teaches that even in the last age, there is a law of Christ that God’s people must keep. The New Covenant is not something to believe in only with our lips, but a precious covenant to live by with faith and obedience.
I want to hold firmly to Christ’s law. By God’s grace, I will keep His commandments faithfully until the very end, until the end of the age. May my faith never change, and may I remain faithful to God’s truth and the New Covenant all the way to the end.
Salvation is not obtained simply by believing; we must keep the law of Christ, which Jesus made perfect, in order to be recognized as God's people and receive salvation.
Why did God change the Law of Moses into the Law of Christ? Although the Law of Moses is perfect, God’s people could not keep it perfectly and instead committed even more sin. Therefore, God granted us the Law of Christ—the New Covenant—which gives us life if we keep it unconditionally. In this age, we can live if we keep the New Covenant. I give thanks to Christ Ahnsahnghong for giving us the New Covenant, through which we can surely receive life.
h alone and that the law has been entirely abolished, but the Bible clearly testifies that there is the law of Christ we must observe even in this age. The Sabbath and the Passover of the Old Testament were changed into the complete regulations of the new covenant in the New Testament times; they certainly never disappeared. As the Apostle Paul confessed, the saints who are to be saved must remain under the perfected law of Christ rather than the law of Moses. The Bible prophesies that those who keep God’s commandments in the last days will be saved as the remnant. Following these teachings, I will fully keep the Sabbath and the Passover of the new covenant, remaining faithful to the end as one of God’s true people.
Many Christians believe that the Law has been abolished and that only faith is important. However, Revelation 12:17 and 14:12 clearly show that even in the last days there will be God’s people who keep His commandments, and they are the ones who remain faithful to the end and receive salvation.
Jesus Himself declared in Matthew 5:17 that He did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. If we ignore His words and insist on our own ideas, claiming that the Law has been abolished and therefore no longer needs to be kept, we will inevitably distance ourselves from salvation.
Instead, let us faithfully keep the New Covenant that Christ established and perfected for us, so that we may receive complete salvation and enter the eternal kingdom of heaven together.
Thank to God the father Ahnshanghong and Heavenly mother in heaven for opening the way for salvation with the law of Christ, the law that has been fully fulfilled.
