For the past ten years of my life of faith, observing the Day of Atonement has been a truly precious experience. While many Christian churches do not observe it, the Bible contains this very special feast that clearly reveals the precise principle of how our sins are completely wiped away. That is the Day of Atonement.
Looking at the regulations of the Day of Atonement in the old times, there are very fascinating and specific rules about how the sins of the people were handled:
"He is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the wickedness and rebellion of the Israelites—all their sins—and put them on the goat’s head. He shall send the goat away into the wilderness in the care of someone appointed for the task. The goat will carry on itself all their sins to a remote place; and the man shall release it in the wilderness." (Leviticus 16:21-22)
The truly crucial point here is that these sins did not pass directly onto Azazel. Rather, Christ first bore our weaknesses and all our sins Himself and made a sacrifice for us. The scapegoat simply represents the source of all sin and the ultimate object of responsibility (Satan) who tempted us and led us into sin. When our sins are fully returned to that responsible entity to face eternal punishment, our souls are finally and completely liberated from that heavy burden.
"And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:10, NIV)
When we look deeply into the mechanism of sin contained in the Bible, the love of Christ and the providence of salvation—carried out by taking our place and bearing all our sacrifices—become much clearer. And the reality of Christ, who stood in the place of sacrifice while personally bearing our sins throughout this entire history of redemption, is none other than Heavenly Mother, who gives us eternal life.
As the Bible testifies:
"But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother." (Galatians 4:26)
Right now, we are spending the Day of Atonement Prayer Week. During these ten days, we sincerely confess our sins to God and offer prayers of repentance to receive the promise of forgiveness. Through this, we have gained deep peace in our hearts and are spending precious time realizing God's profound love. We are also spending such grateful days, truly feeling how much love we receive from God.

I am deeply grateful that Heavenly Father and Mother have given sinners the Day of Atonement, allowing us another precious opportunity to repent.
We sinned in heaven and continue to repeat the same sins on this earth, yet You forgive us once again, giving us the chance to repent and receive forgiveness of our sins.
Thank You from the bottom of my heart for the boundless grace of our Heavenly Father and Mother, which You pour out upon us without end. 🙏❤️
The Day of Atonement reminds us of Christ’s incredible love and sacrifice. He carried the burden of our sins and became the sacrifice for our redemption. May we deeply reflect on His love and be grateful for the precious meaning of this holy day. ❤️
