Why Are We Living on Earth? | The New Covenant Passover and the Forgiveness of Sins
Why do we experience suffering, pain, and death in this life? And is this earthly life really the beginning and the end of our existence?
The Bible reveals a surprising answer. Humanity once lived in heaven with God, but because of sin, we came to this earth. Our life here can be understood as an opportunity to repent, receive forgiveness, and prepare to return to our heavenly home.
Then, how can we receive forgiveness of sins? Jesus came to this earth and established the New Covenant Passover through His flesh and blood. The Passover contains God’s promise of forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
The Bible teaches that only God has the authority to forgive sins. In this age, Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the New Covenant Passover, and the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) keeps this biblical truth today. Our life on earth is not the end. God has given us a way to receive forgiveness and prepare for eternal life in heaven.

If this earth is a place where we are given the opportunity to repent of the sins we committed in heaven and prepare to return to our heavenly home, it makes us reflect once again on how we should live our lives. We come to understand that we should not live by giving in freely to anger or committing sins. Now, we should live according to God’s teachings.
We should cherish and faithfully keep the Passover that God commanded, serve God in the right way, and glorify God through our good deeds. We should also prepare ourselves well so that we can return to our heavenly home.
I am thankful to Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother for teaching us where we came from, where we are going, why we are living on this earth, and what we need to take with us in order to return properly to our heavenly home.
The New Covenant Passover is a precious feast established through God’s sacrifice. Among the many churches that exist today, the only church that keeps the New Covenant Passover according to the teachings of the Bible is the Church of God.

I’m truly grateful that God has revealed the reason we are living on this earth and given us a way to return to our heavenly home.
Through the New Covenant Passover, God has promised us forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

The reason we came to this earth is because of the sins we committed in heaven. God came all the way from heaven to this earth to find us and granted us forgiveness of sins through the New Covenant.
Through the New Covenant, we should repent of our sins and prepare ourselves to return to the Kingdom of Heaven.
