In Mark 16:9, it is written: "When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week..."
As shown in the calendar we use today, the first day of the week is Sunday.
Then, what day is the Sabbath, which is the day before (Previous day) Sunday?
It is Saturday!
Through the biblical record, we can clearly see that the 'Sabbath' is Saturday and 'the first day of the week' on which Jesus was resurrected is Sunday. Looking at the order of the days of the week through Scripture makes it even easier to understand.
