The Origin and Regulations of the Feast of Tabernacles
The Feast of Tabernacles is observed on the fifteenth day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar and is the final feast among the seven annual feasts of God. It commemorates the time when the Israelites gathered materials and built the tabernacle during their journey through the wilderness after the Exodus. As an autumn harvest festival, it also carries profound spiritual significance for God’s people today.
The origin of the Feast of Tabernacles can be traced back to the first year after the Israelites were delivered from Egypt. After receiving the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai, Moses instructed the people to prepare materials for the construction of the tabernacle, where the covenant tablets would be kept. For several days, the Israelites willingly brought offerings and materials for this holy work. To commemorate their devotion and participation in building God’s dwelling place, God established the Feast of Tabernacles as an everlasting ordinance.
The Feast of Tabernacles Prophetically Foreshadows the Gathering of the Saints, the Materials for the Spiritual Temple
One of the distinctive regulations of this feast was the building of temporary booths using branches from various trees. In the Bible, trees often symbolize people (Jer 5:14). Therefore, the materials used to build the booths foreshadow God’s people who would be gathered together to build a spiritual temple. The Apostle Paul explained that believers are being built together into a holy temple in the Lord, with Christ as the cornerstone.
In this sense, the Feast of Tabernacles prophetically points to the work of gathering God’s children from all nations and restoring them to His kingdom. Through earnest preaching and evangelism, God’s people participate in completing the spiritual temple by finding their lost heavenly family members.
The Water of Life Promised Through the Feast of Tabernacles
The Feast of Tabernacles is also closely connected to the blessing of the Holy Spirit. The prophet Zechariah foretold that those who celebrate this feast would receive rain, while those who neglected it would not receive God’s blessing.
In the Bible, rain often symbolizes the Holy Spirit. This prophecy reveals that God grants the promised latter rain of the Holy Spirit through the observance of the Feast of Tabernacles.
During the Age of the Son, Jesus attended the Feast of Tabernacles and proclaimed the blessing of the water of life, promising the Holy Spirit to those who believed in Him. In the Age of the Holy Spirit, the book of Revelation reveals that the source of the water of life is the Spirit and the Bride.
According to the teaching of the Trinity, the Spirit refers to God the Father. The Bible also identifies the Bride as the heavenly Jerusalem, and the Apostle Paul testifies that “the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother” (Gal 4:26). Thus, the Scriptures reveal the Spirit and the Bride as God the Father and God the Mother, who together invite humanity to receive the water of life.
Today, the Feast of Tabernacles reminds us of God’s desire to gather all His children and complete the spiritual temple. It teaches us the importance of preaching the gospel, finding our lost heavenly family members, and sharing the hope of salvation with the world. As we keep this sacred feast and receive the promised blessing of the Holy Spirit, we can participate in God’s work of restoring His people and proclaiming the glory of the heavenly Jerusalem to all nations.

“Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the LORD’s Feast of Tabernacles begins, and it lasts for seven days. . . . On the first day you are to take choice fruit from the trees, and palm fronds, leafy branches and poplars, . . . Live in booths for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in booths so your descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’ ” So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed feasts of the LORD.

Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. . . . The LORD will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

Amen! 🙏 God’s appointed feasts are precious reminders of His love and plan of salvation. May many souls hear Elohim’s call, come to Zion, and receive the blessings of the Feast of Tabernacles. 💛✨
The Feast of Tabernacles is a special time when God pours out the blessings of the Holy Spirit upon us like a mighty waterfall. Every one of God’s appointed feasts is filled with His abundant love, grace, and blessings. What a precious blessing it is to keep God’s feasts and receive the spiritual blessings He has promised.
Just like the history of the Israelites who willingly gathered materials to build the tabernacle in the wilderness, we realize that we too must diligently search for lost souls—the materials of the gospel—to complete the spiritual temple today. We sincerely thank Heavenly Father Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother for Their grace in promising the blessing of the latter rain of the Holy Spirit to those who keep the Feast of Tabernacles, just as the prophet Zechariah prophesied. To invite all people into the arms of the Spirit and the Bride—our Father and Mother who are the source of the water of life in the Age of the Holy Spirit—we are moving forward with a burning passion for saving souls. Even though the path of the gospel may sometimes feel difficult and tiring, we will courageously overcome every trial, empowered by the strength of the Holy Spirit granted through the Feast of Tabernacles. Engraving the meaning of this holy feast upon our hearts, we will widely proclaim the glory and love of the heavenly Jerusalem to the whole world, fully accomplishing the blessed mission of guiding countless brothers and sisters to the truth of life.
