The Feast of Tabernacles: The Promise of the Holy Spirit and the Water of Life

The Feast of Tabernacles is one of God’s appointed feasts, and the Bible reveals that it has a special connection with the blessing of the Holy Spirit. In Zechariah 14:16–19, God commands the nations to keep the Feast of Tabernacles and warns of consequences for those who refuse to keep it. This shows that the Feast of Tabernacles is not simply an Old Testament tradition, but a commandment with spiritual significance for the last days.
On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus proclaimed, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink” (John 7:37–39). He was speaking about the Holy Spirit. The Bible also prophesies that in the last days, the Spirit and the Bride will give the water of life freely to those who are thirsty (Revelation 22:17). So, where can we find the source of the water of life in the last days?
The Bible points us to Jerusalem our Mother: “But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother” (Galatians 4:26). Just as physical life comes through a mother, the Bible teaches that the water of life in the last days comes from God’s appointed source, the Spirit and the Bride. This is why understanding the identity of God and receiving His word is essential to receiving the promised blessing.
The Feast of Tabernacles reminds us of God’s promise of the Holy Spirit and calls us to recognize and follow the teachings of the Bible. Let us study God’s appointed feasts, understand the source of the water of life, and share the biblical message of God the Father and God the Mother with those who are thirsty for eternal life.
