Today, many people faithfully attend church every week and lead active lives of faith. However, many remain unaware of the Feast of Tabernacles, a holy feast of God clearly recorded in the Bible.
Yet, when we examine the Scriptures, the Feast of Tabernacles is not merely a historical event of the Old Testament. It is an essential feast that God’s people who are to be saved must keep today.
The Origin and Spiritual Meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles
In the Old Testament, when Moses built the tabernacle to house the Ten Commandments, the Israelites joyfully and willingly brought materials for the sanctuary.
Prophetically, the New Testament fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles is to gather God's children—the materials for the spiritual temple—and complete the eternal heavenly temple.
The Blessing of the "Latter Rain" Holy Spirit
On the last and greatest day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus stood and declared:
Here, the living water represents the Holy Spirit given for our salvation. God has promised to pour out the "latter rain" Holy Spirit to quench the spiritual thirst of those who keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Feast of Tabernacles and the Eternal Kingdom of Heaven
Ultimately, the Feast of Tabernacles is essential because we must keep this feast and receive the latter rain Holy Spirit to complete the spiritual temple and enter the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
Keeping the Feast of Tabernacles ➔ Receiving the Latter Rain Holy Spirit ➔ Completion of the Spiritual Temple & Entry into Heaven
The promise of living water and salvation, emphasized all the way through the Book of Revelation, is fulfilled through the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Feast of Tabernacles is the final feast among the seven feasts in three times recorded in the Bible.
I sincerely hope we all deeply understand God’s will within this feast, keep it holy, and receive the promised Holy Spirit and eternal blessings of Heaven together.

The Origin and Spiritual Meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles
In the Old Testament, when Moses built the tabernacle to house the Ten Commandments, the Israelites joyfully and willingly brought materials for the sanctuary.
"Moses said to the whole Israelite community, 'This is what the Lord has commanded: From what you have, take an offering for the Lord. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the Lord gold, silver and bronze...' And everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments." (Exodus 35:4–5, 21)
Prophetically, the New Testament fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles is to gather God's children—the materials for the spiritual temple—and complete the eternal heavenly temple.
"built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit." (Ephesians 2:20–22)
The Blessing of the "Latter Rain" Holy Spirit
On the last and greatest day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus stood and declared:
"On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, 'Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.' By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified." (John 7:37–39)
Here, the living water represents the Holy Spirit given for our salvation. God has promised to pour out the "latter rain" Holy Spirit to quench the spiritual thirst of those who keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
